Remembrance 9 November
Our reception and year 6 children went to church on Wednesday to work with the ladies from church to create displays in church for Remembrance Sunday.
The whole school went back today and we held two minutes silence at 11am and had a short service with poems and prayers to remember all that had lost their lives in the war. Mr and Mrs Webb then took all the children to a gravestone of a man that served our country in world war one. He was injured and flown back to Wales where unfortunately he lost his life in hospital. The man was then bought by train back to Gedney where a full military funeral was held for him. He was 19 years of age.
