Gedney Church End Primary pupils lit up St Mary Magdalene Church with their Christingles and joyful faces.
More than 80 pupils took part, from reception to year six, and the church was filled with parents, grandparents, family and friends.
Church members were in school in the morning to help children make their Christingles and to explain that they represent Jesus as the Light of the World. Pupils formed a line on the outside of the pews and, after the Christingles were lit, sang Light of Heaven. Year 6 pupils also read prayers aloud and Away in a Manger was also sang during the service.
