Reading Café Picnic 17 July

After the great success of our last reading café we held another yesterday afternoon in the sunshine.  There was a surprise visitor that turned up – Paddington Bear together with his suitcase and marmalade sandwiches. Find out more on out Gallery page.

Inspire+ Mini Olympics 24 June

Years 3 and 4, plus our Bronze Ambassadors from year 6 represented Gedney Church End at the Inspire + mini Olympics last week. Find out more on our Gallery page

Our First Reading Café 20 June

This week we started off our new reading café with our EYFS children. Our reading café hopes to bring back the love of reading and share this with our parents. Parents were invited to come and join their children for a story followed by some activities. Find out more

Drop Your Books and Boogie 14 June

As part of the NSPCC ‘drop your books and boogie’ day the whole school took part in the Conga outside. The children and staff all enjoyed the chance to dance throughout the day. See our Gallery page

Inspire+ Legacy Assembly 4 April

Our bronze ambassadors led the Inspire Plus Legacy Tour assembly today for the whole school, looking at ways staying healthy physically and mentally. Find out more

School Council Breakfast Morning 1 April

We would like to say a huge thank you to the great generosity of parents that joined the School Council for breakfast this morning. We are pleased to say we raised a great £53.50. We are so pleased with this amount and it is a great start to our playground project. You can see pictures on our Gallery page

Pancake Day

Mrs Powley made pancakes with the school council children on Tuesday and then the whole school took part in pancake races! The  pancakes were invincible! See for yourself on our Gallery page

Wellbeing Week 11 February

This week we celebrating Wellbeing Week. We have a variety of activities happening throughout the week that shall help promote wellbeing for both the staff and children. Each day we shall incorporate an ‘action’ that is believed to help promote wellbeing. Find out more

Playground Equipement 20 December

We have had new playground fitness equipment installed at our school and the children have tested it out today! Find out more on our Gallery page

Remembrance 9 November

Our reception and year 6 children went to church on Wednesday to work with the ladies from church to create displays in church for Remembrance Sunday. The whole school went back today and we held two minutes silence at 11am and had a short service with poems and prayers to remember all that had lost their lives in the war. Mr and Mrs Webb then took all the children to a gravestone of a man that served our country in world war one. Find out more

Lincolnshire Week 2 Ocotber

In assembly today we had a ‘Gedney bush tucker trial’ to celebrate Lincolnshire week. The children had to taste and smell a variety of foods that are made with produce grown in Lincolnshire. Find out more
