Gifted and Talented
Gedney Church End Primary School has identified the pupils who meet the criteria for Gifted & Talented selection.
There are three strands which form the basis of the Gifted & Talented provision.
- Engage - To begin to engage with the Gifted and Talented Programme through regular opportunities to work alongside pupils with similar needs.
- Deepen - To receive opportunities to deepen knowledge and understanding in respect of their designated Gift or Talent.
- Enrich - To gain access to extra-curricular and specialist instruction that will contribute to a wider appreciation of excellence, expression and enjoyment.
The Gifted & Talented pupil’s class teacher integrates opportunities for each child to deepen and enrich their skills and knowledge through planning and regular evaluation.
The G&T programme allows the children to utilise their unique skills and talents through project work. The group meets regularly (every two weeks) and have an extended session to maximise the quality and learning for each project.
