Athletics 15 June

Class 1 are now taking part in athletics with Katy from Inspire Plus.  They all enjoyed joining with lots of different athletics activities. 

A Healthy Lunch 21 May

We have been looking at Healthy eating and what foods are healthy and what foods are unhealthy.  Today we made a superhero lunchbox.  We had to look at the right foods to make a healthy lunch. 

Moving to Music 11 May

Class 1 have been busy moving to music with the help from Beth at Inspire +.  Beth has taught the children to sing and dance to the Baby Shark song. 

PCSO visit 4 May

Today the children in class 1 had a visit from a PCSO and Bobby Bear. The children found out from the visit how the police are superhero’s and how they help people. The children thoroughly enjoyed the visit and were very interested in what the PCSO had to tell them. They even got to see the police car, hear the sirens and sit inside it.

Declan's Bug Church 3 May

Declan has made a bug church for Gedney Church End Primary School.  Declan spent lots of time at home gather twigs, leaves and canes to complete his bug church.  Declan picked the perfect spot in our school garden for the bug church to live.

Blindfolded 27 April

The children in Class 1 enjoyed their maths lesson, this involved being blindfolded and then listening to directions given. They have to then complete the directions and move to their finishing place. The children took turns to listen to directions and then give directions to their peer. It was much fun and they all achieved their objective. The children also understood by completing this activity what is it like to have limited sight.

Jackson Pollock 30 January

Class 1 enjoyed creating artwork that was influenced by Jackson Pollock. They had fun and enjoyed getting messy.

Boccia 18 January

Class 1 enjoyed learning how to play boccia today, Carl Blackman taught us the rules and then we had the opportunity to have a go. The game was very hard to play but we had fun having a go!

Squash 9 November

This morning the children from Year 1 and 2 enjoyed learning how to play squash. The children needed to throw and catch a ball and use “ snap like a crocodile to catch,” we had great fun and decided that we can practice these skills at playtimes!

Seaside Engage Day 3 November

The children really enjoyed the experience of learning about the seaside from past to present. They all took part in making a range of seaside artefacts and also enjoyed -Roll a penny -Punch and Judy show -shopping -experiencing walking along a pier
